You will be continuously monitored throughout your procedure. Our providers use TIVA (Total Intravenous Anesthesia) to ensure a smooth, comfortable experience with minimal side effects.
After Your Procedure
You will be monitored during recovery until you are stable and comfortable. Anti-nausea medications are administered to minimize post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) for a smoother recovery.

How long will I be under anesthesia?
The duration depends on your specific procedure. Your dentist and anesthesia provider will discuss the estimated time with you during your pre-operative consultation.
Can I drive myself home after sedation?
No. You must have a responsible adult drive you home and stay with you for several hours after your procedure. The effects of anesthesia can linger and impair your ability to drive safely.
What medications should I avoid before my procedure?
Please inform your provider of all medications you take. Blood thinners, certain supplements, and herbal remedies may need to be paused before your procedure. Your provider will give you specific instructions.
Is anesthesia safe for adolescent patients?
Our providers are trained in age-appropriate anesthesia care for both adolescent and adult patients, ensuring the safest and most effective care for every age group.
What monitoring is used during my procedure?
We use standard monitors for anesthesia including EKG, NIBP (non-invasive blood pressure), EtCo2 (end-tidal carbon dioxide) and pulse oximetry to ensure your continuous safety throughout the procedure.
